Hey hi hello! This isn't your typical newsletter—it's the introduction to a resource I've been building for close to a decade.

Whenever readers ask me “where should I go when I visit [insert city here]? any good vintage shops?” I used to be scrolling through my old podcast notes, DMs with dealers, and lists on my Notes App to give recommendations. I've heard from lots of you that you do the same—screenshotting Instagram stories or saving my old episode show notes to reference later when you travel. So — at some point, years ago — I started this list.

Today it’s the most comprehensive directory of vintage and secondhand shops around the world — approximately 700 entries! — including brick-and-mortar stores, markets and pop-ups, thrift stores, studios, and vintage collectives. It’s compiled from recommendations mentioned in 7+ years of podcast episodes, plus reader and listener submissions, and my own vintage hunting adventures around the globe.

This is a “living document” that I'll continue to update monthly with new discoveries and recommendations. Come back to reference it any time.

How to Use This Directory:

Search & Find:

  • On Desktop: Ctrl+F (Windows) or Cmd+F (Mac) to search

  • On Mobile: Tap the three dots in your browser menu and select “Find in page”

  • Search by: city names, neighborhoods, shop names, or specialties like "plus size" or "designer"

  • Pro tip: Search the city first, then scroll the whole section—you'll discover shops you didn't know to look for

What You'll Find: Each entry includes a brief description (from the shop itself or shopper recommendations), location, and a link to their social media for current hours and offerings. Shops are organized by country → state/province → city.

Icon Key:

  • 💰 Thrift store or charity shop

  • ✨ Luxury and designer focus

  • 👕 Plus size specialty

  • 🌐 Primarily online, showroom by appointment, or pop-up events

  • 📅 Market or seasonal event

Before You Go: Always check the web + social media for current hours and address. And when you're there? Ask the shop owner for more recommendations—vintage people love sharing their favorite spots.
