Pre-Loved Diary: 11 Early Summer Outfits
vintage treasures (graphic tees, Coach bags, and the summer sundresses I couldn't wait to rewear...) plus, everything else I'm obsessed with lately!
Struggling with the early summer seasonal shift? I’ve got your inspiration covered with 11 early summer outfits— plus, how to find similar pieces secondhand! Paid subscribers get full access to all my monthly favorites & recommendations (what I'm reading, watching & shopping!) each month.
Hey hi hello! After crash-landing back into reality post-Brimfield, I’m finally starting to find routine again amongst these (blessedly!) longer summer days. I’m up early lately (my husband is opening a bakery and I help out), and taking advantage of the extra time in the morning to swim laps at my neighborhood pool, which reminds me of my idyllic childhood summers — maaaaany hours at the pool.
This month, I’ve also been working weekends at my friend’s vintage shop (the wonderful Found+Formed where so much of my vintage has come from over the last decade!) and I’ve even joined her to sell at a few pop-ups as her extra set of hands.

We just got back from the Heartland Bazaar in Des Moines, Iowa, which is a lovely little Midwest show in the parking lot of Rumors Vintage — P.S. if you’re in the neighborhood, you must check out La Mie bakery, across the street from Rumors, for the almond croissant!
We had a funny little coincidence getting ready for the market— because you know how I’m always on about my Maison Louis Marie in Balincourt No.4 perfume oil? Well, my friend, Gail, received it in a curated makeup and skincare gift box recently, so we were both wearing it at the market — I suppose our booth had a signature scent! Now that I think of it, I think I first smelled this scent in Awoke Vintage (I believe they use the diffusers), so let’s just say it’s a sandalwood beloved by vintage people everywhere.

When there’s two of us at the markets, it means we each get some time away to shop, and — of course! — I found some treasures of my own. The most exciting is this lovely leather belt, which is faded in just the right ways, but it’s long and I need to punch some additional belt holes in it the next time I’m at the shop (we have a nifty tool there!), so I’ll show you then.
Below the fold this month:
9 more outfits, my barista “uniform,” and the spring pieces I keep repeating!
Easy summer makeup looks (because I take the recommendations from the folks at Credo Beauty seriously!) when you want, like, four products max.
The color combination that has me so hooked, I styled it three different times this month.
A TV show you must watch if you love 1970s fashion — who doesn’t?!
And the pieces I’m most excited to rewear this summer. It’s heating up, and I have ideas…
